The survival of ureteral cancer patients is generally related to the pathological stage of the disease, treatment strategy and patients’ own conditions, etc. If the patients are in the early stage, the impact on their life expectancy after receiving regular treatment is not very great, and if the patients are in the advanced stage, the five-year survival rate is about 60%. For ureteral cancer patients, if they receive regular treatment in early stage, the cure rate is generally high, and the impact on their life expectancy is not great. If ureteral cancer enters into advanced stage, and local recurrence or distant metastasis occurs after treatment, the five-year survival rate of this kind of patients (clinically, “five-year survival rate” is often used to roughly assess the survival of patients with tumors) is about 60%. To sum up, patients with ureteral cancer can reduce the adverse effects of the disease through “early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment”, and many of them may survive for a long time, so it is suggested that patients should establish confidence in treatment.
