The dangers of enlarged adenoids

Enlarged adenoids generally refers to adenoid hypertrophy. If left untreated, otitis media, obstructive sleep apnea hypoventilation syndrome, adenoid facies, and other hazards affecting normal development of children may occur.
1. Otitis media: adenoid hypertrophy will lead to blockage of the Eustachian tube, patients are prone to complications of secretory otitis media or suppurative otitis media, which will make patients experience hearing loss, tinnitus and other uncomfortable symptoms.
