Thigh muscle atrophy due to patella fracture usually takes 3 to 6 months to recover.
After patella fracture, due to the need for braking, often in a state of prolonged bed rest, thus making the muscle disuse atrophy. Functional exercise, acupuncture and massage, and nutritional enhancement can be used to promote muscle atrophy to recovery.
1. Functional exercise: including lower limb straightening and leg lifting, practicing ankle back extension, plantar flexion and other methods.
2. Acupuncture massage: Acupuncture massage can stimulate local muscle movement, prevent excessive muscle contraction, and prevent the formation of deep vein thrombosis.
3. Enhance nutrition: Eat more lean meat, eggs, milk and other high-protein foods to promote recovery.
Generally after 3 to 6 months of the above methods, the muscle atrophy caused by patella fracture can be gradually recovered.
