Antibiotics for prostatitis

Antibiotics commonly used in the treatment of prostatitis include macrolides, quinolones, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, etc. The appropriate antibacterial drugs need to be selected according to the drug sensitivity test. 1. Macrolides: Roxithromycin and azithromycin are commonly used. They have strong ability to penetrate the prostate membrane, dissociate into non-fat soluble state in acidic environment, and have higher concentration in prostate fluid. 2. Quinolones: i.e. the most common ones such as ciprofloxacin and ofloxacin. These antibiotics have strong penetration properties and a broad antibacterial spectrum, and are commonly used in the treatment of prostatitis. 3. Sulfonamides: these drugs can easily penetrate into the prostate, and are more effective in treating sensitive bacteria, and are now commonly used in the treatment of cotrimoxazole. 4. Tetracyclines: such as minocycline, prednisone, etc., on mycoplasma, chlamydia infection has a strong sensitivity. The above drugs are for reference only, the specific dosage and usage should follow the doctor’s instructions. Prostatitis should be treated in a timely manner, in accordance with the doctor’s instructions for joint medication, not blindly use drugs.
