The condition of stroke varies, with patients having different sites and severity of infarction or hemorrhage.
Ischemic stroke: acute patients may have transient limb weakness before the onset of stroke; they may also have sudden cerebral infarction without symptoms and then a series of symptoms, such as unilateral limb weakness or numbness, unilateral facial numbness or distorted corners of the mouth, slurred speech, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting.
Hemorrhagic stroke: sudden onset of symptoms, mostly during activity, often manifesting as headache, nausea, vomiting, varying degrees of impaired consciousness and limb paralysis, etc.
