Submandibular lymph nodes, are normal tissue structures in the body. It generally means that enlarged lymph nodes may be caused by lymphadenitis, lymphoma, metastatic cancer and so on. 1. Lymphadenitis: Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, gingivitis and other infections in nearby tissues can lead to enlarged submandibular lymph nodes. The patient will have this lymph node enlargement, pain, fever and other manifestations, palpation of the lymph node texture is soft, good mobility. After anti-infective treatment, the submandibular lymph nodes will gradually return to normal after the inflammation in the primary infected area subsides. 2. These enlarged submandibular lymph nodes also show hard texture, poor mobility and no tenderness.
