If the mouth is swollen, different clinical treatments are often available depending on the severity of the local swelling. If the degree of mouth swelling is mild, local ice can be applied to promote capillary constriction and avoid progressive aggravation of local swelling. At a later stage, we can use hot ointment packs, moxibustion strips, infrared irradiation physiotherapy, appropriate massage, and oral medications such as swelling and pain, blood circulation and stasis pills to promote the swelling of the mouth to subside faster, and most patients can fully recover the damaged soft tissue after 5-7 days. If the swelling of the mouth is more serious and accompanied by local hematoma formation, it is necessary to perform debridement and drainage treatment of the hematoma as soon as possible to completely stop the bleeding of the hematoma wound. After the operation, anti-infection, analgesic and edema treatment will be given, and the swelling of the mouth will completely subside in about 7-10 days for most patients.
