Is it necessary to screen women for both cancers?

Two-cancer screening for women is very necessary. Cervical cancer and breast cancer can be detected in a timely manner through screening, thus reducing the cost of treatment and improving the quality of life. The commonly used screening method for cervical cancer is HPV combined with TCT. If both are negative, the test is repeated after 3 to 5 years. If HPV16 or 18 is positive, colposcopy is appropriate, and if necessary, cervical biopsy should be taken from the suspicious area under colposcopy and sent for pathological examination, and according to the results of the pathological examination, the choice of treatment plan should be decided, such as cervical conization or total hysterectomy with pelvic lymphatic dissection, etc.; if HPV is negative and TCT is positive, it can be treated according to the treatment of inflammation, and after that, HPV combined with TCT can be carried out again, and colposcopy can be carried out if necessary. Breast cancer screening methods mainly include physical examination, ultrasound, molybdenum target and magnetic resonance, etc. If abnormalities are found in the above examinations, breast biopsy should be carried out and sent to pathological examination to confirm the diagnosis, and according to the results of the pathological examination, the choice of treatment plan such as drug treatment or surgery should be decided. It is necessary to screen women for two cancers so that early detection, diagnosis and treatment of two cancers can be realized, thus improving life expectancy and quality of life.
