How to press acupressure points to help with irregular menstruation

The lack of menstruation belongs to the category of “late menstruation” and “amenorrhea” in Chinese medicine, which is mostly related to the deficiency of qi and blood, and the impassability of the veins and channels, and can be treated by selecting acupoints that have the function of benefiting qi and tonifying blood and dredging up the meridians and channels to be pressed and kneaded, such as the Sea of Qi and the Sanyinjiao acupoints. When pressing and kneading, attention should be paid to moderate strength and rhythm.
1. Qihai: This point belongs to the Ren vein and is located in the lower abdomen, 1.5 inches below the umbilicus and on the anterior midline. This point can be used for the treatment of deficiency, water retention, diarrhea, dysentery, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, menstrual closure, and metrorrhagia (excessive menstrual flow or dribbling).
2 Sanyinjiao: This point belongs to the Foot Taiyin Spleen Meridian and is located on the inner side of the lower leg, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, at the posterior margin of the medial edge of the tibia. This point can be used for the treatment of irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, infertility, spermatorrhea, abdominal distension, palpitations, insomnia and other conditions.
Care should be taken to apply moderate and rhythmic pressure on the above points.
