Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a malignant tumor of glandular origin, most commonly occurring in the parotid, submandibular and sublingual glands. It is a low-grade malignant tumor with a high incidence. The common sites of metastasis may be lung and bone, which are metastasized through bloodstream. Therefore, the treatment of this kind of tumor is mainly based on surgery. After surgery, if the tumor is adjacent to the nerve or invades the nerve, there is corresponding nerve dysfunction, there will be corresponding facial nerve facial palsy, tongue sensory numbness or tongue motor discomfort. Therefore, for the treatment of tumor, patients should be psychologically prepared that nerve damage and corresponding dysfunction may occur; in addition, patients should pay attention to check the metabolic status of lung and whole body bones, and observe whether bloodstream metastasis occurs during the preoperative evaluation.
