The significance of breast ultrasonography is to help doctors distinguish between good and bad lesions.
Breast ultrasonography is a commonly used clinical examination, which has the advantages of being non-invasive, high detection rate, simple operation, repeatable operation, low cost, etc. It is mostly used for breast examination and diagnosis of medical conditions. If nodular lesions are found in the breasts during breast ultrasound examination, breast ultrasonography can be considered to further confirm the nature of the lesions.
This test is based on the ultrasound examination of the breast and is performed again after the injection of a contrast medium, which analyzes the blood flow signals of the breast nodule to assist in the diagnosis of the benign or malignant nature of the lesion. If the nodule has low or no blood flow signal, the lesion is more likely to be benign, and if the nodule has a strong or very rich blood flow signal, the lesion is more likely to be malignant.
This test is only an auxiliary test, and the diagnosis of benign or malignant lesions is based on pathologic examination. Combined with the location of the breast nodule, the lesion can be excised or obtained through needle cytology, and the final lesion can be diagnosed through pathology. Subsequent treatment can then be carried out.
