Where is the pain in the intestines

Intestinal pain usually occurs around the navel, which is the middle part of the intestine, which includes the jejunum, ileum, colon, and rectum. When the phenomenon of intestinal pain occurs, the location of the pain can be affected by the presence of lesions in different intestinal tracts. Since the jejunum and ileum of the small intestine are mainly around the navel, when lesions occur in the small intestine, pain near the navel is the main manifestation. In contrast, the colon is at the periphery of the small intestine, so when a lesion occurs in the colon, the pain will be distal to the navel. When the lesion does not occur in the ascending colon, the pain is mainly in the right side of the abdomen; when the lesion occurs in the transverse colon, the pain is mainly in the transverse part of the upper abdomen, and in the descending colon, the pain is mainly in the right side of the abdomen. The human appendix is also part of the intestinal tract, and once inflammation of the appendix occurs, it will also lead to intestinal pain, mainly in the right lower abdomen. When intestinal diseases are present in the sigmoid colon and rectum, the pain is mainly in the left lower abdomen.
