Red bumps on the fingers that appear after trauma to the skin, with a smooth or wart-like surface and no conscious symptoms or slight tenderness, are considered to be probably pyogenic granulomas. Pyogenic granuloma tends to bleed after minor trauma and is an acquired, benign nodular growth that is not associated with infection. The main treatment option is surgical excision, which then needs to be combined with dermatopathological examination. It can also be treated with carbon dioxide laser, ion cautery or liquid nitrogen freezing, but if the treatment is not complete it is easy to recur. It is recommended that the rash should be treated promptly after a clear diagnosis to avoid delaying the disease.
