Treatment of cauliflower-shaped intestinal polyps includes observation, colonoscopic resection, and caesarean section. 1. Observation: asymptomatic small polyps can be closely followed up and observed. 2. Colonoscopic resection: all parts of the colon polyps may be resected under the condition of colonoscopy, and polyps within 30cm from the anal verge may be resected by sigmoidoscopy. If there is a tip, it can be resected by ligating the tip with a loop device; if the base is wider, electrocautery should be used; if there is a higher part of the polyp, it can be resected by fiberoptic colonoscopy. The resected polyp tissue needs to be pathologically examined. 3. Caesarean section: larger polyps, or malignant intestinal polyps, should be carried out caesarean section, for intestinal segmental resection or simple polypectomy. Pathologic examination of the cut polyps should be done during the operation. If malignant lesions are found, it is necessary to enlarge the operation scope and do lymph node dissection. Postoperative chemotherapy (e.g., 5-FU, mitomycin) is also required. Patients with cauliflower-like intestinal polyps should go to the hospital in time and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
