Classification of pituitary tumor invasion

Pituitary tumor aggressive classification, currently mainly according to hardy doctors for the corresponding grading, two types and five grades, two types is confined and aggressive, confined type is divided into grade zero, grade one, grade two; aggressive type is divided into two grades of three and four. Grade zero pituitary tumor is less than 4 mm, with normal saddle size and 110 degrees of saddle nodes. Grade I pituitary tumor is less than 10 mm, with normal saddle area size and saddle node angle less than 110°. Limited changes in saddle base bone, such as localized thinning, double saddle base, blistering, etc. In secondary pituitary tumors larger than 10 mm, enlargement of the saddle area and saddle angle less than 90 degrees can be seen, and the limited changes of the saddle base are more obvious. The main manifestations are hemiparietal sink and double saddle bottom. Grade III saddle area is significantly enlarged, with limited bone erosion and destruction of the saddle base, and adenoma penetrating into the pterygoid sinus, which can be accompanied by suprasaddle extension. Grade IV is a significant enlargement of the saddle area, diffuse destruction of the saddle base, and invasion of the entire pterygoid sinus.
