A hernia in the scrotum that pinches quite hard may be suffering from an inguinal hernia, which is hard when pinched because an organ in the abdominal cavity has entered the scrotum.
Inguinal hernia is a type of hernia, which is formed when an organ in the abdominal cavity protrudes through the deep abdominal femoral ring towards the surface of the body. This type of hernia is characterized by the fact that the organs in the abdominal cavity tend to enter the scrotum and are organs so they are hard when pinched.
Suffering from an inguinal hernia usually requires surgical treatment, which can be done by visiting the general surgery department of a hospital. Choose either a traditional hernia repair, or a traditional tension-free hernia repair. In the case of infants and children under one year of age, surgery is not required and compression with a lap band is sufficient. If there is a manifestation of intestinal obstruction, then only a high hernia sac ligation is performed without hernia repair.
The disease should be taken seriously. If abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, or stopping of anal defecation are present, then medical attention should be sought as soon as possible to avoid delay.
