Is a burning sensation in the stomach stomach cancer?

Whether burning sensation in the stomach is stomach cancer or not needs to be confirmed by its accompanying symptoms and gastroscopy. There are many causes of burning sensation in stomach, such as patients with gastric ulcer may show pain in upper abdomen after eating with obvious burning sensation; alkaline reflux gastritis caused by bile reflux may also have obvious burning sensation. Patients with early gastric cancer may show symptoms similar to gastritis with a burning sensation in the stomach, but with the development of the disease, they may have symptoms such as loss of appetite, weight loss, anemia, black stool, etc. Examination may reveal an abdominal mass with local pressure pain. If gastroscopy shows ulcerative lesions or bulging lesions, surgical treatment is required, and postoperative treatment with adjuvant chemotherapy can control the progression of the disease. Patients who take drugs to suppress gastric acid and protect gastric mucosa to relieve symptoms before the diagnosis is confirmed may delay the disease, so further consultation with the gastroenterology department is required in case of discomfort.
