Elbow joint pain is considered to be related to osteoarthritis, gout, lateral epicondylitis of the humerus, cervical spondylosis, and medial epicondylitis of the humerus. 1. Gout: generally acute pain, obvious redness and swelling of joints. 3. Epicondylitis of humerus: the pain is on the lateral side of elbow joint, and the pain can be aggravated when flexing and extending the elbow joint. 4. Cervical spondylosis: osteophytes or herniated intervertebral discs compressing the nerves can radiate to the elbow joint, causing pain, and some may have numbness. 5. Epicondylitis of the humerus: the strain at the flexor stop caused by frequent flexion of the elbow joint, causing pain in the medial aspect of the elbow joint.
