Acromegaly is clinically known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Its muscle throbbing symptoms are often characterized by muscle contraction and throbbing but not by the formation of limb movements, i.e., myofascial tremor. In addition, the characteristics of muscle jumping in different periods of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis are not consistent. 1. Characteristics of muscle throbbing: The muscle throbbing symptoms of patients with acromegaly are different from those of Parkinson’s disease. Patients with muscle contraction beating, but often not accompanied by limb tremor, shaking movement, that is, patients with muscle beating often show the characteristics of muscle bundle tremor. 2. Characteristics of muscle beating in different periods: Early muscle beating is not obvious, mainly manifested as occasional contraction and excitement of distal limb muscles. In the middle stage, the frequency of muscle jumping increases dramatically, and the muscle jumping spreads from the distal limb to the proximal limb, and even the core muscle group of the trunk. In late stage patients, due to the decrease in muscle volume and muscle excitability, the frequency of muscle beating will be greatly reduced. The cause of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is currently unknown and the prognosis for patients is poor. It is recommended that patients receive standardized treatment under the guidance of a physician in order to prolong survival.
