The exact location of the Yin Qie point is in the anterior region of the forearm, 0.5 inches above the transverse line of the distal palmar side of the wrist, at the radial margin of the ulnar flexor carpi radialis tendon.
The Yin Qie point is located 0.5 inches above the Shenmen point, at the distal end of the transverse line of the transverse flat ulnar head, that is, 0.5 inches above the transverse line of the distal palmar side of the wrist, at the radial margin of the ulnar flexor tendon.
The Yin Qie point also belongs to the Qie points, and Qie points usually treat acute illnesses and pains in the areas where this meridian circulates and in the viscera to which it belongs. Thus, this point is used to treat heartache, palpitations, night sweats (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up), vomiting of blood, epistaxis, and violent mutes (sudden loss of voice). It can be massaged, needled, or moxibued.
Remember, massage and moxibustion of Yin Qie points must be performed under the guidance of a professional doctor, while acupuncture must be operated by a doctor and not by oneself to avoid damage.
