Varicocele can be detected by visual observation and physical examination when the condition is serious, but it is recommended to visit a regular hospital to confirm the diagnosis by a professional doctor’s usual physical examination and ultrasound. 1. Visual observation: In more serious varicocele, a prominent venous mass on the surface of the scrotum can be seen with the naked eye. Patients may experience scrotal swelling, scrotal pain and discomfort. 2. Touch examination: when the spermatic cord is touched with the hand in the case of varicocele, thickening of the spermatic cord, clumping and earthworm-like thickening of the veins can be found. 3. Other: If there is prolonged infertility after marriage, and accompanied by scrotal discomfort, you may suffer from varicocele. It is recommended that if testicular discomfort occurs, or suspected varicocele, timely to the hospital, need to be combined with the patient’s medical history, symptoms, signs, imaging results, etc. to make a comprehensive judgment.
