In clinical work, a course of treatment is counted from disease activity to complete clinical remission. The course of treatment from high blood uric acid to normal blood uric acid is called uric acid, and most of them are calculated in weeks, such as 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months. The length of treatment is not the same for different patients and different severity of the disease. Blood uric acid test should be done in time after medication, once every 2 weeks, once a month or even once a month after the first medication. Generally, most patients’ blood uric acid will come down quickly or even close to normal in about a month. If the patient has no complications or diseases such as gout stone or gout kidney, the blood uric acid is considered to reach the standard when it drops below 360μmol/L. After reaching the standard, the blood uric acid should be continuously maintained below 360μmol/L for 3-5 years during the treatment period. If gout is accompanied by gout stone, gout kidney or even cardiovascular disease, the standard of blood uric acid should be lowered to below 300μmol/L for 3-5 years, so the treatment course is longer. It is forbidden to consider yourself cured when the blood uric acid drops to normal and the symptoms disappear as soon as you stop the medication or reduce the dosage by yourself, and the medication must be taken under the guidance of a physician.
