When is the right time to take aspirin enteric tablets

Aspirin enteric soluble tablets are recommended to be taken with appropriate amount of water before meals to give full effect to the drug and reduce adverse reactions. Aspirin enteric-coated tablets have the effect of inhibiting platelet aggregation. In the past, when the enteric-coated form was not developed, patients were required to take aspirin after meals in order to avoid irritation to the stomach. With the development of medicine, the aspirin enteric-soluble tablets produced today do not dissolve in the stomach, so it is recommended to take them before meals to avoid mixing with the meal to affect its excretion into the intestine or even dissolution due to the prolonged time in the stomach. Patients are usually advised to take it in the morning on an empty stomach so that the drug can dissolve after reaching the intestine quickly to maximize its efficacy and at the same time reduce the adverse stimulation to the stomach. In addition, patients should pay attention to the possibility of potential bleeding while taking aspirin enteric soluble tablets. For patients with gastrointestinal bleeding and cerebral hemorrhage, etc., they should not take them. If gum bleeding, subcutaneous bleeding, vomiting blood or blood in stool occurs during taking the drug, they should consult a doctor at the cardiovascular medicine department or gastroenterology department of the hospital in time.
