The results of a gastroscopy are usually available within a few minutes to half an hour, with some variation depending on the severity of the condition and the hospital where the test was performed. If there is no specific lesion and no pathologic biopsy is performed during the gastroscopy, the results of the gastroscopy report can usually be issued within a few minutes to half an hour. If tissue biopsy is performed on the suspected lesion during gastroscopy, the gastroscopy report can also be given within half an hour, but the gastroscopy pathology results need to be further examined by the Department of Pathology after the pathological examination of the lesion tissue. Pathological examination takes a certain amount of time, if it is a benign lesion, the report is usually issued within 3 days; if it is suspected to be a malignant tumor, further immunohistochemistry examination may be required, and the time required may be around 5-7 days. If there are symptoms such as epigastric pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, acid reflux, belching, etc., it is recommended to have a gastroscopy in time, and H. pylori test if necessary, to clarify the condition and provide accurate and effective treatment.
