Does the new pneumonia come with a fever and then a cough?

There are many manifestations of novel coronavirus pneumonia, and some cases of cough without fever have been seen in clinical practice. Patients with no or low fever are not necessarily in a less severe condition, and some may develop severe disease. In other words, it is not possible to determine whether or not a case of novel coronavirus pneumonia is present by the sequence of fever and cough, or by the severity of the illness. The diagnosis of novel coronavirus pneumonia requires clinical manifestations such as fever and cough, and it also requires clarification of the presence of close contact, i.e., the corresponding epidemiologic history. For example, within 14 days of the onset of fever, whether the patient has traveled to Wuhan and other infected areas, or whether the patient has been in contact with similar patients, and whether there is an aggregation of the disease; at the same time, it needs to be based on the results of routine blood tests, chest imaging and nucleic acid test results, to make a comprehensive judgment, and make a diagnosis.
