Whether vulvar leukoplakia can be completely cured is related to the type of disease, such as vulvar chronic simple moss may be cured, while vulvar sclerosing moss is basically incurable. Vulvar leukoplakia, also known as vulvar dystrophy, is caused by degeneration and pigmentation of the skin and mucous membrane of the vulva. According to the histopathological characteristics of the disease, it can be classified into vulvar chronic lichen simplex and vulvar sclerosing moss, with the former mainly manifesting as vulvar itching, skin color change, and vulvar mossy change, while the latter may also show burning sensation of the skin and vulvar atrophy. In terms of treatment, vulvar leukoplakia is generally not easy to cure and easy to recur. For chronic simple vulvar moss, if regular treatment is received early, the symptoms can be relieved without sequelae, but there is a risk of long-term recurrence; for sclerosing vulvar moss, repeated treatments are usually needed and it is more difficult to be cured, but the symptoms will generally be relieved. It is recommended that patients with vulvar leukoplakia should consult a doctor for diagnosis and staging in a timely manner, and then undergo active treatment in order to avoid delaying the condition.
