Menstrual disorders need to be differentiated from systemic diseases, organic diseases and polycystic ovary syndrome. To differentiate from systemic diseases, patients need to undergo blood tests to diagnose whether it is a disease of the blood system, such as aplastic anemia, leukemia or thrombocytopenic purpura. To differentiate from organic diseases, diagnose whether the menstrual disorders are caused by uterine fibroids, cervical diseases and ovarian diseases. Polycystic ovary syndrome may cause prolonged periods, scanty menstruation, amenorrhea, and other symptoms, and therefore needs to be differentiated from this as well.
