What to do if you can’t see well with advanced lung cancer

For late-stage lung cancer, first of all, we should improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and take comprehensive treatment measures such as radiotherapy combined with targeted therapy or combined chemotherapy for brain metastasis; suspend the anti-cancer treatment and deal with the side effects caused by side effects of the treatment; and treat the primary disease caused by other non-cancer causes, for example, surgery can be given to treat cataracts and other treatments.
1. For patients with advanced lung cancer with brain metastasis, firstly, after gene test and immunity expression status examination, they can take various comprehensive treatment measures such as brain radiotherapy combined with targeted drug treatment program, or brain radiotherapy combined with systemic chemotherapy program, or radiotherapy combined with immunity drug treatment, and so on.
2. For patients with advanced lung cancer who cannot see well due to side effects of anti-cancer treatment, such as keratitis and retinitis caused by chemotherapy or targeted drugs, it is generally recommended to suspend treatment and give anti-inflammatory treatment to deal with the side effects.
3. If the blurred vision is not caused by lung cancer or side effects of treatment, but due to cataract and other eye diseases, patients can consult ophthalmology and other related departments, and relevant treatments can be given to patients according to different causes.
If patients with advanced lung cancer have difficulty in seeing, it is recommended to consult hospitals as early as possible for standardized diagnosis and treatment by doctors.
