What does BI_RADS level 3 mean?

BI-RADS, which stands for Breast imaging reporting and data system, was proposed and recommended by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and has been modified several times and is now being used for breast ultrasound, mammography, and MRI. It has been modified several times and is now used in the diagnosis of breast ultrasound, mammography and MRI. The purpose of the BI-RADS is to standardize the diagnostic reporting of all imaging studies of the breast, using uniform terminology, diagnostic criteria, and procedures.

Up to grade 3 is almost always a benign lesion. A specific grade 3 indicates that it is almost certainly benign, but it is important to emphasize that grade 3 indicates a less than 2% chance of malignancy, which does not mean that there is no possibility of malignancy.

Specific examples are as follows: 1. Consider a possible fibroma: age <40 years, solid oval nodule with clear borders, good mobility, and an aspect ratio of <1. 2. After 2-3 years of continuous review without change, the original grade 3 can be changed to grade 2 (benign). 3. Multiple cysts or clusters of small cysts.

A short follow-up (usually 3-6 months) is recommended for cases at this level.
