Don’t drink alcohol for a few days before and after taking cephalosporin

If you have taken cefoperazone sodium, ceftriaxone sodium and other cephalosporins, it is generally recommended not to drink alcohol within two weeks, or if you have already consumed alcohol, it is not recommended to use the above cephalosporins, mainly because of the fear of causing a disulfiram-like reaction. For relatively mild disulfiram-like reactions, such as facial flushing, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, sweating, and even palpitations, most of these mild toxic reactions can be cured. However, if there are symptoms of shock such as laryngeal edema, cyanosis of the lips and mouth, dyspnea, decreased heart rate, or even decreased blood pressure, rehydration should be given actively, treatment to promote excretion should be given, and active treatment should be given because it may lead to serious adverse reactions in the human body, or even jeopardize the safety of life.
