What’s wrong with nodules on both breasts?

Breast nodules are common breast diseases that are caused by abnormal hormone secretion, genetic mutations, and the environment. Breast nodules are mostly seen in benign lesions of the breast, such as verrucous hyperplastic nodules, mammary hyperplastic nodules, breast cysts, breast fibroadenoma, etc. In addition, breast cancer can also manifest as breast nodules. If a breast nodule is tough or soft, with clear borders and regular shape, and there is no blood flow signal or a small amount of blood flow signal on ultrasound, the nodule is considered to be benign in nature, and it is recommended to review breast ultrasound once every six months to a year. If the breast nodule is significantly harder than the surrounding tissue, and the boundary is unclear with pain on palpation, it is necessary to pay attention to the possibility of breast cancer. For malignant nodules, endocrine therapy and post-operative radiotherapy are required according to the post-operative pathology. Young and middle-aged women should have regular mammograms to avoid delay in treatment.
