Solid nodules are mainly solid abnormal growths of tissue in normal body organ tissues, such as masses and tumours, meaning that the nodule has a filling inside, rather than a hollow cystic nodule. Solid nodules are a common clinical occurrence and it is important to determine the benignity or malignancy of a nodule when a solid nodule is found.
For benign nodules, clinical observation is possible if there are no obvious clinical symptoms and the size is relatively small, whereas for malignant nodules, surgical treatment is an option.
