All nodules in the prostate need to be treated surgically, but further evaluation is needed before surgery in conjunction with other tests: 1. If the test exists a prostate nodule with elevated serum PSA levels, it is recommended that a prostate puncture biopsy be performed first, and according to the results of the puncture biopsy, you can choose what surgery to do. If the biopsy indicates the presence of prostate cancer, radical prostate cancer surgery is required and post-operative adjuvant endocrine therapy is needed. If the puncture biopsy is benign prostatic hyperplasia, transurethral electrical resection of the prostate is needed for treatment. 2. If there are nodules in the prostate, they can be palpated through anal finger examination. The serum PSA is normal and also requires a prostate puncture biopsy to rule out the presence of prostate cancer. If there is prostate cancer, surgery is needed. If there is no prostate, clinical observation and follow up is recommended.
