How to disinfect tuberculosis bacteria

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is sensitive to 70% ethanol, ultraviolet light and heat. The rooms where TB patients live should be frequently opened and ventilated to keep the air circulating, and the surfaces and floors of objects can be disinfected by spraying them with 70% ethanol. In addition, personal items used by TB patients, as well as clothes worn and books read by TB patients, can be disinfected by UV light. The clothes worn by TB patients can also be disinfected by outdoor sunlight. Tableware and personal items used by TB patients can be sterilized by boiling water for two minutes if the water temperature reaches 100°C and 15 minutes if the water temperature reaches 62-63°C.
