Ectopic pregnancy can usually be ruled out after a positive test on the 47th day of pregnancy, but there can be individual variations. When women of childbearing age experience overdue menstruation after intercourse, pregnancy should be highly suspected and can be confirmed by blood or urine HCG tests. Ultrasound examination on the 47th day of menopause can mostly clarify intrauterine pregnancy and exclude ectopic pregnancy, but women with long menstrual cycles may not necessarily exclude ectopic pregnancy on the 47th day of ultrasound examination due to late ovulation and implantation. For women with fertility requirements, coitus can be guided under the guidance of a doctor through methods such as ovulation projection and ultrasound monitoring of follicular development to improve the chances of conception. When the blood or urine hCG test confirms pregnancy, ultrasonography is still needed to clarify intrauterine pregnancy and to be able to rule out ectopic pregnancy and pathological pregnancies such as hyperemesis gravidarum.
