Can rheumatoid be cured?

When we talk about rheumatoid, we generally refer to rheumatoid arthritis. At present, rheumatoid arthritis cannot be cured, but with systematic and standardized treatment, most patients can achieve remission, avoid joint deformities to the greatest extent possible, and protect joint function. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that is essentially caused by the body’s immune system attacking its own cells, especially the synovial lining of the joints. Existing studies have confirmed that genetic, infectious, sex hormonal, smoking and environmental factors are related to the development of rheumatoid arthritis, but the exact pathogenesis is still unclear. Therefore, the current treatment is still mainly through the glucocorticoid, improve the condition of anti-rheumatic drugs to suppress the abnormal immune response, in order to slow down the progress of the disease, to protect the function of the joint, to prevent joint deformation, there is no “curative” and “special” drugs. Therefore, once patients reduce or stop the medication on their own, or if the treatment is not standardized or systematic, the disease will be repeated. However, not being able to cure is not the same as not being able to control the progress of the disease. With the improvement of the medical level and the development of a large number of new drugs, under systematic and standardized treatment, most patients can be in long-term stability and remission, and most patients with rheumatoid arthritis can maintain good joint function and work and live like normal people. Although rheumatoid arthritis spot can not be completely cured, but can effectively control the disease, early diagnosis, systematic and standardized treatment is the key to rheumatoid arthritis patients to maintain the stability of the disease, but also need to maintain a good and healthy state of mind, establish self-confidence in treatment.
