What’s wrong with your child’s yellow eyes in the morning?

Yellow eye discharge in the child’s eyes early in the morning is usually caused by bacterial infection of the conjunctiva. If you open your child’s lower eyelid, you can see that the conjunctiva inside the eyelid is congested, and in severe cases there can be a large amount of discharge. After rinsing, use daily anti-inflammatory eye drops, such as tobramycin drops or ofloxacin. Note that the eye drops are valid for one month after opening and should be discarded after one month. In case of Chlamydia trachomatis infection, particulate matter can be seen in the eyelid, which is treated with rifampicin eye drops. If the symptoms do not improve, it is recommended to visit an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.
