Difference between thyroid tablets and eugenol

Both Thyroid Tablets and Eugenol (Levothyroxine Sodium) can be used for the treatment of various causes of hypothyroidism, but they are different from each other in terms of composition, efficacy and contraindications. 1. Ingredient composition: Thyroid Tablet has a complex composition, the main ingredient includes two hormones secreted by the thyroid gland, i.e., tetraiodothyronine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3); Levothyroxine Sodium has a single ingredient, i.e., it only contains tetraiodothyronine (T4). 2. Efficacy: Thyroid Tablets are suitable for hypothyroidism caused by various reasons. The indications for levothyroxine sodium tablets are: non-toxic goiter (normal thyroid function); after goiter removal, prevention of goiter recurrence; replacement therapy for hypothyroidism; adjuvant therapy for hyperthyroidism treated with antithyroid drugs; suppression therapy after thyroid cancer surgery; thyroid suppression test. 3. Contraindications: Thyroid tablets are contraindicated for angina pectoris, coronary heart disease and tachyarrhythmia. Contraindications to levothyroxine sodium include those who are highly sensitive to the product and its excipients, untreated adrenal insufficiency, pituitary insufficiency and thyrotoxicosis. When medication is required, the choice of medication should be made under the supervision of a physician.
