Can pre-cancerous gastric lesions be cured?

Pre-cancerous gastric lesions, i.e., early stage with active treatment, can obtain a five-year survival rate of about 90% and have a better prognosis. Gastric cancer is a common malignant tumor of digestive system, which is mostly caused by heredity, bad dietary habits and other factors. Pre-existing lesions, i.e., early clinical stage, when the lesions are often limited and without lymph nodes and distant metastasis, can be treated by radical surgery, and postoperative radiotherapy is usually not necessary due to early staging. Due to the early staging, a good prognosis can often be obtained after active treatment, with a five-year survival rate of about 90%. However, patients should pay attention to the need to follow the doctor’s instructions for regular checkups after surgery, in order to detect recurrence as early as possible and prolong the survival time.
