According to the holistic view of heaven and man in the Nei Jing, “between heaven and earth, within the six hemispheres, the qi of nine states, nine orifices, five Tibetan, and twelve sections are all connected to the weather”, “man is connected to heaven and earth, to nature, and the root of life lies in the mutual correspondence between the yin and yang of man and the yin and yang of heaven. The clear yang comes out of the upper orifice, the cloudy yin comes out of the lower orifice, the clear yang develops the coup de grace, the cloudy yin goes to the five Tibetans.” Therefore, it is important to take care of oneself in winter.
