What are the side effects of Bactrim?

The generic name for Bactrim is Mupirocin Ointment. The severity of side effects varies depending on the patient’s own condition. Usually they are mild, with weaker patients experiencing more severe side effects with use. Local burning, tingling or itching are common and usually do not require discontinuation of the medication. Occasionally, skin allergic reactions are seen, and in severe cases, breathing difficulties may occur. Mupirocin ointment is a topical topical antibiotic mainly used for skin infections caused by gram-positive cocci, such as primary skin infections such as impetigo, boils, folliculitis and secondary skin infections such as eczema co-infections and co-infections of small superficial wounds. It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to mupirocin or other polyethylene glycol-containing ointments, and should be used with caution in those with moderate or severe renal impairment, and in pregnant and lactating women. This drug is intended for dermal administration only, and is prohibited for use on mucous membrane sites such as the eyes, nose and mouth. If you need to use mupirocin ointment, please consult a professional doctor, follow the doctor’s instructions, and use medication reasonably.
