Attributed to the foot solar bladder meridian, the Spleen Yu point can be used clinically to treat a wide range of diseases, commonly abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, dysentery, blood in the stool, edema, and pain in the back. The method of extracting the spleen point is relatively simple, the examinee is instructed to take a sitting position or prone position, find the position of the eleventh thoracic vertebrae, make a mark, and then open 2 transverse fingers beside this mark, and when pressed there is a depression, this depression is the spleen point, one on each side. When selecting this point for acupuncture treatment, it must be operated by a professional acupuncturist and should not be operated blindly by oneself.
