The new coronavirus kit is also called the new coronavirus antigen detection kit, which needs to go through 3 steps: sampling, antigen detection and result reading. 1. Sampling: Firstly, blow your nose with toilet paper, then unpack the nasal swab, tilt your head slightly, put the end of the swab against one side of the nostril to enter, and then slowly penetrate into the nostril 1~1.5 cm and rotate the swab against the nasal cavity at least 4 times, and then use the same swab to repeat the same operation on the other nasal cavity. 2. Antigen detection: The collected nasal swab is immediately placed in a sampling tube to ensure that the sample is fully eluted in the sampling tube. Squeeze the swab head through the outer wall of the tube and discard the swab. After capping the tube, drop the liquid into the sample hole of the test card. 3. Interpretation of the results: only when the “C” and “T” show a red or purple band, a positive result, if the “C” does not show a red or purple band results are invalid, need to take a test strip and retest. If no red or purple band is shown at “C”, the result is invalid and the test should be repeated. The new coronavirus antigen test cannot be used as the basis for diagnosis of new coronavirus infection, and positive patients need to undergo nucleic acid testing.
