Tongue manifestations in cancer patients

Cancer belongs to the category of “Cancer Disease” in Chinese medicine, which is mostly related to factors such as stagnation of qi, unimpeded blood flow and deficiency of internal organs, etc. Clinical manifestations on the tongue can be seen as purplish and dark tongue with petechiae, pale tongue with white greasy moss and red tongue with yellow greasy moss.
1. Purple and dark tongue with petechiae: the tongue is mostly a manifestation of blood stasis and obstruction, and its accompanying symptoms may also include dark color, lumps in the waist and abdomen, pain from time to time, and pain in a fixed place.
2. Pale tongue with white moss: this tongue image is mostly a manifestation of phlegm-dampness congestion, and its accompanying symptoms may also include chest tightness, cough and phlegm, chest and diaphragm and epigastric congestion, slippery pulse, and so on.
3. Red tongue with yellowish greasy moss: this tongue symptom is mostly the manifestation of dampness and heat, and its accompanying symptoms may include loss of appetite, chest, diaphragm and epigastric constipation, and moistened pulse.
