What’s the meaning of a reversion case?

Regression means metastasis and progression of the disease, and cases of regression are those in which the disease progresses. The general course of the disease can often be divided into the incubation period, the prodromal period, the symptomatic period and the regression period. The incubation period refers to the period from the invasion of pathogens into the human body until the beginning of clinical symptoms. The prodromal period refers to the period from the onset of the disease to the time when symptoms become apparent. Clinical manifestations in the prodromal period are usually non-specific, such as headache, fever and other symptoms. Symptomatic period refers to the period when the more typical signs and symptoms of the disease are fully manifested. Regression refers to the variety of outcomes that the disease exhibits after different interventions. According to the difference between good and bad regression, regression can be categorized as confirmed diagnosis, cured, death, lingering, and sequelae. In the context of the novel coronavirus outbreak, the current regression cases are mostly an abbreviation for the transformation of asymptomatic infected patients into confirmed cases after they become immunocompromised. Asymptomatic infected persons are a state in which the body’s immunity and the pathogen are held together, and when an individual’s immunity is lowered, the pathogen causes the body to develop the characteristics of various types of illnesses in the prodromal and symptomatic phases to achieve regression.
