What should I do if I’m urinating?

Streaming urine, which indicates the presence of urinary incontinence, may be caused by acute urinary tract infection diseases, prostate enlargement, overactive bladder syndrome, and stress incontinence.
For acute urinary tract infection diseases, antibacterial drugs such as ciprofloxacin can be applied. For prostate hyperplasia, overactive bladder disease, stress incontinence, Finasteride, Tolterodine, Midodrine Hydrochloride and other medications can be applied, and surgical treatment is needed in serious cases.
1. Acute urinary tract infection: for example, acute cystitis, after diagnosis, sensitive antibiotics should be applied, such as ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, etc., to eliminate the pathogenic bacteria, and with oral sodium bicarbonate tablets and other medications, to reduce the symptoms of urinary irritation.
2. Prostatic hyperplasia: For mild prostatic hyperplasia, medications such as finasteride and tamsulosin can be used. If the effect of medication is unsatisfactory, surgical treatment, such as transurethral resection of the prostate, can be considered.
3. Overactive bladder: Tolterodine, Solinacin, Mirabelone and other medications can be applied to treat the condition, which can stabilize the bladder. Minimally invasive treatments, such as percutaneous tibial nerve electrical stimulation can be considered, and surgical treatments, such as urinary diversion, are needed in severe cases.
4. Stress incontinence: For mild stress incontinence, medications such as Midodrine hydrochloride, estriol cream, and more pelvic floor muscle training can be used. If the above treatments are not effective, surgical treatments such as vaginal tension-free urethral mid-suspension can be considered.
The use of medication should follow the doctor’s instructions, and after surgical treatment, do a good job in all aspects of postoperative care to avoid complications.
