Can you get an MRI with braces?

If the braces are made of plastic, magnetic resonance is generally possible; however, if they are made of metal, magnetic resonance is generally not recommended.
If the braces are made of plastic and do not contain metal, MRI is generally possible and will not be affected by them and will not interfere with the MRI signal and will not affect the results of the examination. The plastic braces will not be required to be removed during the MRI process.
However, if you are wearing metal braces, it is not recommended to have an MRI because the metal may react with the MRI and interfere with the MRI signals during the examination, so you need to remove the metal braces when you have an MRI.
If you are currently wearing braces and need to have an MRI, it is recommended that you consult with your doctor before the examination and follow the doctor’s instructions to decide whether or not you need to remove your braces.
