Is it normal to have a stomachache during ovulation?

Ovulation stomach pain is usually a normal physiological phenomenon and most people can adapt to it on their own as the number of ovulations increases. If there is persistent pain or if the pain suddenly worsens, then it needs to be taken seriously. Abdominal pain during ovulation is mainly caused by the rupture of follicles during ovulation and the accumulation of follicular fluid, bloody plasma or a small amount of blood in the pelvic cavity, which usually does not require treatment. With the gradual absorption of pelvic fluid, the pain gradually disappears. Abdominal pain during ovulation usually appears about 14 days before the menstrual flow and can be relieved by itself in about 2-3 days. If the pain is severe, patients are advised to go to the gynecology department of the hospital for relevant examination 3-5 days after menstruation clears to determine whether there is pelvic inflammatory disease, ovarian cyst, endometriosis and other diseases. After the examination and clear diagnosis, reasonable and appropriate treatment is needed for different diseases.
