What is Kimura disease?

Kimura disease, also known as angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia, is a benign, chronic inflammatory granulomatous disease. Kimura’s disease is a rare chronic inflammatory disease involving the superficial lymph nodes of the head and neck as well as soft tissues. It is a chronic inflammatory disease, most commonly seen in young and middle-aged men, with a relatively long duration of illness, and is generally unlikely to become malignant. Clinical symptoms are lumps in the subcutaneous tissues of the head and neck, mostly in the skin of the head and neck, the lesions are blue-purple, the border is not clear, in the skin surface can be seen in the protruding nodular swelling, can also be involved in the eye socket, single or multiple violet-blue nodules. The disease progresses slowly, early symptoms are generally less obvious, easy to be misdiagnosed, the diagnosis is generally based on lymph node biopsy, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital, early diagnosis, timely treatment.
