What is MMR?

MMR is a triple vaccine combined to prevent three infectious diseases including measles, rubella and mumps. Measles, rubella and mumps are common infectious diseases that can be spread by airborne droplets. Since children are not naturally immune to measles, rubella and mumps, they are easily infected in crowded environments and close contact with different people, threatening their health. MMR is the abbreviation of MMR triple vaccine, which is mainly applicable to infants and children above 8 months of age at birth who are susceptible to measles, mumps and rubella. When receiving the vaccine, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that people who are allergic to the components of the vaccine excipients should not be vaccinated. When the vaccinated population suffers from acute diseases, severe chronic diseases, acute exacerbation of chronic diseases and fever should not be vaccinated, so as to avoid the occurrence of adverse reactions aggravated by vaccine components induced by the low immunity of infants and young children. Common adverse reactions to the vaccine mainly include swollen lymph nodes in the cheeks or neck, or symptoms such as mild fever or rash. If serious adverse symptoms occur after vaccination, prompt medical treatment is recommended.
